Brief History

Exchange Trade Centre of Georgia (ETC Georgia) has been working in Georgia since 2009. Before 2009 the organization had been functioning as one of the programs of Union - Next Generation Initiative NGO - NGI. ETC Georgia is dynamically growing organization, supporting medium and small traders in Georgia with the objective of poverty reduction and sustainable economic development.

Practical and the process of exchange trade of the company is managed by David Doborjginidze. He has extensive experience managing financial projects in Georgia and the international financial markets in Europe, the USA, Russia and other countries. David Doborjginidze is the founder of the Unified Education Credit Union of Georgia.

He is the organizer of the first regional exhibition - conference
FinancEXPO, Caucasus 2004.

At the current time, David Doborjginidze is the initiator of the project for the establishment of the Society for the Rights of Creditors and Borrowers of Georgia. and Regional Debt Exchange.

Theoretical and educational part of works is managed by Nana Shonia, PhD, Professor of State University of Akaki Tsereteli, the author of book: Market and trade on the Stock Exchange.

Since 1993 Nana Shonia has actively been working on global issues in the industry. As a consultant to leading public institutions she is currently actively exploring the role of stock exchanges in the country’s economic development.

In 1997, for the first time in the history of Georgia, she was awarded with the degree of PhD to conduct research on the global securities market.
